Functional Skills ICT Level 1
About the course
This qualification is a requirement for any member of the Royal Artillery wanting to complete a Level 2 apprenticeship in Telecoms. If you are a veteran or a dependant, then our Level 1 course is a great course for you to start developing your ICT skills.
The qualification has been designed to equip you with the confidence and ability to use ICT systems and tools, and find, select, develop, present, and communicate information.
The Level 1 Award is a nationally recognised civilian qualification, and the level is equivalent to GCSE grades D - G. By achieving your Functional Skills ICT Level 1 you will:
Increase your chances of promotion
Improve your job prospects for future employment

Developing, presenting and communicating information
How long is the course?
One to two weeks.
Free to those on a RA apprenticeship or £150, but only £30 if you use your SLC.
You will be assessed by your tutor, as well as through written and online tests.
Where do I study?
The course takes place at your regiment’s/nearest RACPD Learning Centre.
Functional Skills ICT Level 2
Any additional resits cost £15 each for non-apprenticeship learners.
