Lucy Bexon

WO2 Lucy Bexon served with The King’s Troop RHA for the majority of her career. Whilst serving she completed the BHS AI Riding Instructors qualifications. During her resettlement she upgraded this to an Intermediate Level Instructor qualification which is when she decided her chosen career. “My main aim was a career that would enable me to spend more time with my family. It was then that I decided to run my own business, so we invested in a property and my business was born; Bexon Equestrian! Bexon Equestrian offers livery, instruction, training and schooling and I also assess Horsecare apprenticeships.  Once I had signed off and made my decision I completed lots of qualifications in preparation for my new venture including Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Workplace, Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership to enable me to meet my business requirements. My advice to anyone is don’t put if off! You won’t get in the door without the correct qualifications. Also use your time and funding wisely and whilst you are getting paid!”
