About the course
This qualification is a requirement for any member of the Royal Artillery wanting to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship in Logistics or Telecoms. In the future this can also be used as the IT element for promotion to sergeant.
If you are not on an apprenticeship or if you are a veteran or a dependant, then our Level 2 course is a great course for you to develop your ICT skills. The qualification has been designed to equip you with the confidence and ability to use ICT systems and tools, and find, select, develop, present, and communicate information.
The Level 2 Award is a nationally recognised civilian qualification, and the level is equivalent to GCSE grades A - C. By achieving your Functional Skills ICT Level 2 you will:
Increase your chances of promotion

How long is the course?
Five day classroom study.
Free to those on a RA apprenticeship or £150, but only £30 if you use your SLC.
You will complete a formal assessment at the end of the course to test your skills..
Where do I study?
The course takes place at your regiment’s/nearest RACPD Learning Centre.
The course fee includes one free resit. After that any additional resits cost £15 each for non-apprenticeship learners.
