About the course
This course is for anyone in a teaching/training role. You will need to have access to at least 30 hours of suitable teaching and be able to be observed in your workplace.
It is part of the civilian suite of national teaching qualifications and will usually allow you to start work in a college or training organisation. It will show employers that you have the skills and knowledge needed to design and deliver teaching sessions and to assess learners. You will also learn some new strategies to help you deliver effective training in your current workplace.
The course is delivered in two blocks of two days with one extra day by negotiation. During this time the theory behind designing, delivering and assessing inclusive learning is covered. You will also be observed and assessed teaching.
How long is the course?
Delivered and assessed over approx. nine months.
£850 but you can use your SLC/ELC and/or can pay in instalments*. RACPD is ELC provider number 1620.
You will compile a portfolio of evidence, including lesson plans and written work which you will submit during and at the end of the course. You will have approximately nine months to complete all written work and observations.
Where do I study?
At Larkhill and in your usual place of work. There will be some online work for those who do not already hold a Level 3 teaching qualification.
